Sportswear project

The theme of this course was families of all kinds. I chose to focus on my father's studio, filled with tools for working with wood, metal, clay, and more, which led me to explore the concept of a "tool family." I then narrowed my focus to the iconic power tool brand Makita. I studied its distinct visual language—recognizable shapes, angles, and bold color palette—and integrated these elements into my design. Inspired by workwear and high-visibility safety clothing, I aimed to merge the worlds of sportswear and workwear emphasizing functionality, comfort and precise color palette
The result is a functional garment with practical cuts and silhouettes that reflect the atmosphere of industrial work. A central goal of the design was to highlight the role and inclusion of women in traditionally male-dominated workspaces.
