Throught the course, I learned the process of creating and developing garments in the CLO 3D software including patterns developing, working with different types of fabrics including knits, and creating, adapting, and applying original patterns. I also learned to work with my own original digital figures, building various poses for a final digital "catalog photoshoot." I created a 3D photoshoot environment that reflected the atmosphere of my project. The final outcome included three outfits presented through digital models, poses, and a self-designed set.
The inspiration for the project came from a fusion of traditional craft, my grandfather’s hand-woven textiles, and modern craft—the concrete and plant-based sculptures of Australian artist Jamie North. I combined these worlds to create “knitted creatures,” using CLO’s inflation tools, knit simulations, and original AI-generated prints.
